Bridges
Sometimes a bit more work is needed to give you the smile you want. If you are missing teeth, having trouble speaking or chewing, and noticing strain when biting, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help make your mouth healthy and beautiful again. Bridges, sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, literally bridge gaps between teeth by filling them with strong, natural-looking artificial teeth. Bridges can only be removed by a dentist but are somewhat permanent, comfortable, and proven to make teeth strong.
A missing tooth can spoil even the most beautiful smile. Cosmetic dental Bridges are made of natural, tooth-coloured materials. A typical dental bridge consists of a pontic (a filler tooth) that is attached to two surrounding abutments (dental crowns). Once complete, this dental bridge structure is bonded into the mouth. Without the use of a dental bridge , spaces in the mouth from missing teeth can cause multiple teeth to shift, lead to occlusion (biting) and/or jaw problems and spur periodontal disease. Dental bridges safeguard the integrity of existing teeth and help maintain a healthy, vibrant smile.
